Favorite Thing Ever: A Box.

 Steven gathered some large boxes. It's no surprise that Caedmon things playing with boxes is better than any toy. He calls it "the fort-box."

What could be better? You can lie down in a fort-box.

You can poke your head out of a fort-box.

 You can pull grass up through the holes in the bottom of the fort-box.

 Then you can make your parents cry because you are so beautiful in a fort-box.

And best of all, you can experience sheer, childlike joy in a fort-box.

 

There is no one like Caedmon. And we love him so.

We're back!

After a long family-blog hiatus, we're back, and we've added Esther into the mix. To make up for lost time, I'm going to (hopefully) post a few pictures a day for a little while. (Of course contingent on whether or not Esther takes naps.) Get excited, peoples!

Caedmon's hair is its own subplot. This was not staged:

today Caedmon went outside and played with some neighbor friends ... it was his first time under a sprinkler.

"yeah! that's what I'M talking about !" He's kind of a thrill junkie.

"it's a little .... COLD!"

Caedmon the Chemist

Act one:

Caedmon likes to mix things in mixing bowls. But lately he's moved beyond stirring, pestling, and whipping into ladling.

Act two:

After all of his experiments are over, Caedmon enjoys a few shots of the fruit of his hard labor.

Look at him pouring himself little samples of his experiment! (Notice how he sneaks in a swig straight from the bottle!)

Just like heavy hip-shaking, we PROMISE we didn't teach him how to pour himself shots. Must be all that cable television we let him watch.
